Detection of Gen C / EBPα Encodes the Meat Quality

Abstract

This study aims to confirm the presence of the gen C / EBPα beef in local and introduced beef cattle in local beef cattle, introduced beef cattle and determine gene base variations. C / EBPα in these cows. DNA analysis was performed by quantification, PCR, electrophoresis, sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. The results showed that, Gen C / EBPα has been successfully confirmed for local beef cattle (Pasundan, PO, Bali) and introduced beef cattle (Angus, Simmental, FH cattle). There are variations of base found in local beef cattle, namely Bali cattle. In the other five sample cows, base variations were not found.
